Generosity New Zealand is committed to protecting your privacy and therefore adheres to the following guidelines:

• Information is treated with confidentiality in accordance with law
• We respect that some contributors wish to remain confidential
• The personal information you provide when making online donations or registering for an event will be protected and will not be disclosed to any third parties without your consent.

Information that Customers Give Us:

When you sign up for an account you provide a username, email address and password. This information is held by GNZ, and our software provider. The hashed password is stored by the software provider only, no employee has access to your password. If you are using this account via a subscription from a school/tertiary/community organisation, we may share your username and email address back to that organisation. Using this service is taken as consent to this disclosure. Your username, email address and password will be protected and will not be disclosed to any third parties other than those mentioned in this section without your consent.

You can always choose not to provide some or all of the information. We ask for, but this may prevent you from receiving information or obtaining certain services that you desire.

Access to and Correction of Information

You have the right to access and request a correction to your personal information. To ensure that your recorded personal information is accurate and up-to-date, please notify us of any changes to your personal details as soon as possible.

Log Files:

The Site uses log files to record the IP addresses that users come from, what browsers they use, what pages they most frequently and least frequently visit, and other similar types of information for systems administration purposes. We do not link cookies or IP addresses to anything personally identifiable. This means that a user's session is tracked, but the user remains anonymous.

Automatic Information:

Whenever you interact with the Site, We receive and store certain types of information. For example, We use "cookies' to obtain information when your web browser accesses this Site. A cookie is an alphanumeric identifier, which We transfer to your computer via your web browser and store on your computer's hard drive.
